Read moreThis was my first time kayaking with my mother an child in this location upon arrival one of the staffs Finn was amazing enthusiastic, friendly and attentive. Explained the route to take along with our time frame. Experience an amazing time on the water a lot of laughs and smiles from my family. Once we got there we approached the dock rang the bell and a staff member was coming down with a rude gesture stating all we needed to do was ring the bell which is exactly what we did ok no problem. My son got off as I’m getting off the young man wasn’t pay attention on holding the kayak as I’m trying to get off to the point I had to jumó off wasn’t ideal. Then concerned with my mom be able to get off the kayak the young man has a rushing presence to him self . As I explained can you please relax a minute. The young man gives back an attitude I’m trying to send my son up with the paddles. And help my mom there was another staff member which I thought would have assisted her properly. He held the kayaks but there are no rails for a person to pull up from or anything. My mother needed up slipping and falling on the dock and bruising her knee and the young man only said are you ok instead of assisting the customer and checking that she was truly ok. I told the staff that was not professional along with there is no safety holders to go up from the kayak which honestly is a safety issue . There is a form of stairs but was closed and no in use according to the staff I had a great beginning ,middle , but the ending was very disappointing . I hope some of the staff understands safety is everything along with customer...
Read moreI've been meaning to try Nashoba Paddler for many years, living not too far from here. We decided to rent a large canoe this week -- our first time trying to paddle as a family. Our initial attempts did not work very well and we ended up spinning around in circles for the better part of 20 minuntes. Not only that we were going backwards through a low hanging branches, which knocked my glasses into the river. I was ready to call it a day.
The staff saw that we were struggling and rowed out to help us, gave us clear instruction on how we should work together and how the person in the front and back of the canoe can use their oars as rudders to straighten the canoe. We ended up getting the hang of it and were able to have an enjoyable time paddling -- we saw turtles and quite a number of birds.
When I mentioned that my glasses got knocked off and described where they fell off, the staff said they would try to retrieve them in the river. When we returned from our paddling expedition, they mentioned they had successfully managed to find them -- I had counted them lost for good. This was amazing.
I cannot tell you how great and friendly the staff were. They went above and beyond to help my family and I. I definitely will be going...
