My son went here today for his school field trip and it was a nightmare. When his father and I got there to pick him up our other children and nephew had to use the bathroom. They had porter potties with a sink area to wash your hands. Well, when my children and nephew came out of the bathroom they went to wash their hands. One side did not work so the kids went to the other side. This woman storms over and starts screaming at the kids, "Stop doing that. Get away from it. Don't use the water sink anymore. Get off my property." The kids are 7, 10 and 12. Their father was using the bathroom and overheard her screaming at the kids. I was in the van waiting and I could hear her all the way over there screaming. She was about 100 feet away or more. Their father comes out and walks half way up towards the woman. He says, "Excuse me, could you tell me what is going on." Her response, "I'll tell you what's going on. I don't want those kids using my water over there." Their father says, "Excuse me, isn't that why it's there. You wash your hands after using the bathroom." Her response, "They were trying to break it and kept pushing on the pump." He said, "I heard what was going on and they moved from one side to the other because it is not working. I tried it myself and it doesn't work." She says, "I am the owner and can say whatever I want." He says, "Really. That doesn't matter to me. My kids wanted to wash their hands after using the bathroom. They weren't trying to break anything. Don't talk to my kids like. You shouldn't be talking to any child that way. You should talk to the parents if there is a problem." She says, "I don't care what you have to say, get off my property." He says, "I am not leaving until I get my son. He is out there on your obstacle course." She says, "No, he isn't. Get off my property. I'll talk to your kid any way I want to." He then tells her, "Shut your mouth, you don't talk to me or my kids that way. Go get my son." Then she waved to her husband yelling for him to come over. I got out of the van as things were escalating. Her husband starts disrespecting us saying no one will talk to his wife that way. He told us to get off his property. I then told him, "I am not leaving until I get my son." His wife says, "I'm calling the cops." My son started walking over on his own. But she kept running her mouth. She was talking crap about us. We will never go back...
Read moreTreeTrails has been an incredible local attraction that has provided our family with countless hours of challenges and thrills. We love to come here as often as possible as long as the season allows because it’s outdoors and in nature. Our 12 year old has been climbing the high courses since he was 8 and our almost 6 year old has enjoyed a year on KidsTrails, which was a much anticipated and family-oriented addition. My husband and I can swap so that someone is always with each kid and meet their challenge level, so it’s a great fit for our family. Recently, TreeTrails topped our expectations by accommodating a group of our friends that ranged from 5 1/2 to 14. The 8 and 9 year olds were all able to join on the high trails with adults scattered among them. At that age, we learned that some kids flourished and some kids weren’t quite there yet, but all of them were able to go through a course at least once. Several of them went 6-8 times on the greens and yellows. The bigger kids (10+) took off with a dad and had a blast while the little kids occupied themselves for 2 hours between KidsTrails, snack breaks and some of the ground games TreeTrails has (giant Jenga and ring toss). Grace was phenomenal with the kids and is always a crowd favorite. May was great to work with to book the large group. She accommodated us for the crummy early spring rain we had this year and found us a date with as few other groups as possible so we’d have more climb time. She thought of it all! Clay was helpful as always guiding some kids who wanted to challenge themselves on blue. It was an awesome day and we can’t wait to come back in the fall...
Read moreIf you love ropes courses or ziplines, or are curious, give this a go. Super fun and definitely recommended!
I came here this past week with my eight year old daughter and we had the best time. Daughter is experienced with ropes courses and climbing, but is about 51" tall and at has about a 66" reach. She had a bit of trouble on a few elements of the more difficult elements due to her height, but the staff could not have been more helpful or good natured about helping. Daughter was unperturbed and went through everything recommended for her height, loving every minute. Personally, my hands were sore from gripping by the end (and my abs were sore for a few days after) but I absolutely loved it.
Tree Trails has ropes courses the way they were originally designed to be. I was so excited that instead of some prefab structure, there were rock solid platforms in beautiful forest setting. I didn't have a moment where I felt unsafe and was really impressed with how well kept-up the entire property is.
Looking forward to seeing what they've done with the place when we come back to the area next year!!
Tips- -BRING BUG SPRAY. The biting flies are brutal. They do have spray for sale if you forget though (thank you!!!!!). -Use the bathroom before you come. Currently portapotties only.
Thanks to Clay and the whole staff for making this a really great...
