The geological explanation of an ancient sea bed is amazing! It is a short easy hike with breath taking views! A 1 mile round trip out and back hike with only a 210 foot elevation change makes it easy for everyone. The trail is smooth and well traveled making it great for family’s with children or people with mobility issues. We spent some time on the rock scramble at the top which was tons of fun. Highly recommend you take in the sites!

Fairly easy trail with a moderate amount of elevation gain. Great views from the summit. Best during the fall. Parking lot has many spaces. Port-a-potty available. Pack water. Follows the Appalachian Trail.

Two 57 year olds made it with no problem. Yea its rocky at the top but you have no problem if you stay on the trail. There is a peach tree in the parking lot!
