Marceline Vineyards — Attraction in Grottoes

To finish off our visit to the Harrisonburg area we decided after looking at Yelp to try Marceline Vineyards. While it is surrounded by some other popular places to visit we chose Marceline as the review said all their wines were good compared to other local places who did wine tastings. What a delightful place! The charming Arron led us through tasting 7 offerings. He was wealth of information to be able to answer our many questions about their process, growing and selection, and had a great sense of humour. After our sampling we both settled on a glass to sit in the garden and enjoy! We will definitely return on our next visit to try their Cab-Sauv which unfortunately was sold out. Was staying in Nellysford and checked this place out wow what a gem! Chardonnay and rose were my favorites but had a flight and all the wine were to my liking which never happens!! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Not to mention the farm kitty and dogs were a highlight and the kitty hung out with us and ran to us which was the cutest thing in the world. It was funny bc guest thought we brought our cat because she would not leave my husband’s lap🤣 she was so sweet!!! Will def be back I love this place the vibes were HELLA LIT 🔥

Also for the haters talking about wine slushies 😭🤣 why you rate a winery based on a wine slushie that’s silly actually try the wine 🤔 slushies usually water down the wine or change the taste so you can’t be a wine snob unless you try the pure form...

We recently visited Marceline Vineyard and were genuinely impressed. It’s clearly a rising star—already winning awards—and it still manages to keep that warm, small-town charm. The staff made us feel right at home, offering personal attention that’s hard to come by these days. Even though it’s newer on the scene, the wines are top-notch. Honestly, they hold their own against some of our longtime favorites like Pippin Hill, Grace Estate, King Family, and Brix & Columns. Each glass had depth and character, and you can tell there’s real passion behind what they’re doing. It’s also a great spot for families—laid-back, welcoming, and just a beautiful place to spend an afternoon.
