The "little flat mountain trail," is neither little or flat. This is a hike best done in the cooler months of the year- you will stay warm with a light jacket or long sleeves. It seems like a never-ending incline that you may eventually die from and the view really isn't worth it-but you will feel a great sense of accomplishment once you are on your way down. I had the misfortune of doing this hike in the middle of Summer and ended up covered in chiggers because the trail is not heavily trafficked and the weeds grow thick. The trail start is located in a lovely, out-of-the-way park that offers beautiful mountain views, local history markers, and quiet trails.
