This is a beautiful forest in the Pennsylvania wilds. I went on a backpacking trip in the fall on a section of the Quehnna trail and it couldn't have been better I would highly recommend visiting for the amazing scenery, trails, and wildlife.

Just out Pennsy Hollow by Hoot Owl Lake. Bridge is out but road pretty clear on the way out to Hoot Owl. Road passable without lifted vehicle. But a nice, quiet place for a picnic.

Thank goodness for public land. Did a little hiking and camped far from the madding crowd. Saw no elk but did see a bear with two cubs.

If your looking for a place to hunt that puts you as a human at the bottom of the food chain, I promise this is wheresit at. I've been hunting here for a few years now and this place produces by far the most predators of the wood and some of the biggest white tail bucks I've ever seen... truth be told if there's wolf's and mountain lions in PA still, their up here in some part of these...

Had to use the boat launch because the Army Corps ramp was unexpectedly closed. Not a great place to get to down a long, rough dirt road. Launch ramp slope is slight and you need to back way in to get your boat to float....
