This place is truly haunted!

Me and my husband love coming here for the rich history. I’ve been here more times than I can count since I was a little girl. It’s beautiful, historic, and you could literally spend all day exploring here.

I’ve always taken an interest in the supernatural. I love visiting officiated haunted places such as the Crescent Hotel, and other haunted local areas that have been notorious for sightings and other ghostly encounters. One place I was not expecting to be haunted was this museum. Because of the rich history of the gallows, I decided to pull out my ghost box and give it a try, to see if I could pick anything up.Again! I was not expecting ANYTHING, but immediately. Right off the bat. These are the phrases I got: β€œUp too high” β€œHanging” β€œJudge Parker” β€œSamuel” and the word β€œAtonement”

It’s common to get random words from the radio frequencies, that are just that, and nothing more...but the sequence in the way the words were being said was too coincidental to be disputed. I spent the rest of the day walking about feeling as though I was being followed, and had bouts of nausea. If you wanna add a little fun to your visit try this for yourself: download the app GhostDetector (yes, it’s free). Walk around the gallows and you will find that you won’t be...

Har-Ber Village is a charming, historical museum located on the shores of Grand Lake in Grove, Oklahoma. This living history museum offers visitors a glimpse into life in the 1800s through its collection of over 100 buildings and exhibits. These include antique shops, log cabins, a blacksmith's shop, and an old schoolhouse, among others. The village is well-maintained, with beautiful walking paths along the lake, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely day of exploration.

Visitors often appreciate the educational experience, as many of the exhibits focus on pioneer life and early American craftsmanship. Har-Ber Village also hosts various events throughout the year, like crafting workshops, reenactments, and festivals, making it a lively and engaging destination for families and history enthusiasts alike.

If you're looking for a peaceful, educational, and family-friendly day trip, Har-Ber Village is a perfect destination. The blend of history, beautiful lake views, and well-curated exhibits creates a unique experience that appeals...

We love this place and so do our kids. Everything about it is so educational and entertaining. The kids corner, the church and the school are always a big hit. And we love the various festivals.

However the new (?) Cafe needs some help. Despite there only being 6 or 7 indoor tables and it's still too cold to be outside, service was terribly slow. They have four salads and no salad dressings, only one high chair, everything that said "available after March 15" was not available and we ordered and paid for extra fries and they wouldn't bring them to us. The table behind us, the poor souls, arrived at the same time we did and were still waiting for their food after we had ordered, waited and paid and left. Approx 4 different parties of 3 or 4 came in, were not acknowledge, and then left. The actual food was good. Though the "garden salad" was just chopped up hamburger toppings without dressing. Just maybe eat before or after you visit this...

We like this place. It's a great place to entertain out-of-state visitors. There is a lot of walking involved and parts of it are difficult if not impossible to access in a wheelchair or scooter. There are steep inclines for people with limited mobility. It is a beautiful setting, very picturesque view of the lake and wonderful collection of Antiquities. Plenty of things to see and places to sit and absorb the surroundings. Allow yourself a minimum of two hours to take it all in. You'll probably need 3 hours or longer. They do have a Cafe and gift shop as well. They also have a few wheelchairs available if needed. Their hours of operation are limited so plan accordingly. It is worthy to note that there is a lot of vegetation so expect bugs and bees. It is mostly an outdoor activity. I recommend!

Beautiful historical village. Best layout I have ever seen - easy to follow paths that make the best use of your time without retracing paths. Displays were diverse and gave a great overview of life in the four states area. Fascinating bios on the founders of the village as well as Cherokee lawyers, a "hanging judge," a woman who went from teaching to clerking to owning a controlling interest in a bank, etc. Really made history come alive. Live weaving demonstration was fascinating. Staff incredibly helpful and kind. Took my three year old and was there for six hours. The variety of displays and outdoor features kept him interested and he loved the children's play area! Highly recommend.
