The Richloam trail provides for a peaceful walk through some beautiful woods if you're willing to make the trek. I managed to walk four miles of the North loop before running out of daylight and having to return the way I came and after looking at a map it appeared I had only gone about a third of the way around the loop so make sure you bring everything you need as the trail is quite long. The majority of the trail is shaded by the trees and there is plenty of wildlife if you pay attention so I'd definitely recommend visiting this trail if you're in the area. Just make sure to wear some boots or something you don't mind getting wet as there was some pretty deep mud near the beginning...

This trip to the area involved a 15 mile bike ride down the trail. It was a hot sunny day but the tree covered Trail was cool and somewhat comfortable. I found it interesting I saw 12 Turtles an otter, two snakes, a hawk and 10,000 squirrels. From what I read the trail is 28 miles with only one small Bend. Trail is also extremely flat. If you're looking for Hills or a interval high intensity workout this wasn't it. This was a good workout with a steady pace, no cars or cross traffic to worry about and very few...

Richloam is my go to place my safe place and where I go to clear my head. Awesome place to explore nature, except for the idiots who love to throw their trash into the environment. I've taken my jeep offroad many times, and observed tons of wildlife. Plan to come back here for camping and fishing. "leave nothing but footprints (and tire prints), take nothing but photographs"
