Asan Beach Park is a favorite among local people and families. The size and simplicity of the park allows for a variety of activities. There is a paved loop around the park which equal about .9 miles. There is a rocky beach, rock formations for the kids to climb on and the nearby Asan River for kids to skip rocks across or explore for small crabs. This is also a popular location for family gatherings, kite flying, running, biking and kite boarding. There are also several remembrance plaques and shrines, many relating to WWII. On Memorial Day they always place a flag for every Guamanian and American who died during WWII on Guam in the field. It may be only military fighters. The sunsets are nice in this area, so you could take a few photos after going on a run. I do see families hanging out on the beach or on the grass areas having a picnic.
