Crossing over the 3 ton max bridge then, walking down the trail. The scenery is a beautiful rainforest feel and the local Puerto Rican people are so friendly and inviting. The water is refreshing, you can wade up in the pools of the falls or jump off the ledges of the beautiful rocks. Becareful of the steep slopes, they do get slippery. I'd love to visit this beautiful site. As others have mentioned my Google maps sent me into a dead end onto someone's property. There was a dog barking at the car so I didn't dare get out. Just made me and my partner anxious so I pulled a u-turn and went back the way I came. If someone can be kind enough to share the location of where the car can be parked before I leave that'd be amazing. Drive up was beautiful but just a headache backtracking...

Carite is a nice tropical rain forest that is quite large. However, other than roads it does not offer many ways to access it since the hiking trails largely disappeared. There are some still around (in particular around Lago Carite) but one needs good knowledge of the forest since they are not official.
