Gulfport Sportsplex — Attraction in Gulfport

Umpires are the worst I have ever dealt with when it comes to baseball. They side with the traveling team Southern travelers, so if you play them good luck, they also potty mouths that flash camera at pitcher during night games! We had them at 4th inning in championship 6-0 our way, once they came up to bat, our strikes became balls, their steal bases were safe when out and called out when fowl tips against us all heard from everyone in stands. World Series…ZERO signage pointing parents to baseball vs softball fields. Unloaded and walked forever to be turned away and sent another 3/4 mile down the road to the softball fields.

Fields and facility are nice, but their marketing team failed miserably to this first time visitor.

*side note - tell your county supervisors that day 1 of a World Series at your facility is not the best day to decide to clean ditches and shut down the 1 lane road that you drive into the park!...

My son’s team played the week of June 26-30,2024. We played on field 6. My son has played travel ball for 4 years and this was the worst field he has ever played on. His uniform and new cleats are ruined from the red dirt. He said the dirt was full of rocks tearing his pants when he slid into 2nd base.
