The whole process with One Preston Events was a nightmare. Madison Gann was our coordinator, but we never talked with her in person. Since Madison was supposed to be our coordinator, we wish she would have been in charge of communication and the 30 day walkthrough. It was extremely unprofessional because she was our main point in contact, but we did the venue tour with her mom (Sheri) and even our walk through. Many things seemed to have been miscommunicated because she was not available during the walk through. Madison double booked us with a tour that day. She was not available through the phone which was frustrating. Our DJ had booked a time to see the venue and on the day of, he called because she was not responding to her emails. She said that she had forgotten about it and had already left. Our understanding was that they didn’t have time slots for a rehearsal later than 4pm, but they had one for 5:30pm. Four months before our wedding, we set up a rehearsal time. We arrived at the venue to find out that they never put us on the calendar and we should have known because we had not received a Google invite. We were not told that we should expect a Google invite when booking a rehearsal time. When I sent Madison a follow-up email after the rehearsal, she put the blame on us. In her email, she stated “Also in your email you let me know you were going to call to confirm the time and day during that week and I never got a call to confirm. Lastly, I believe nothing was said at the 30 day meeting. I believe that's where the confusion was.” Not once did she apologize. She does not answer her phone and we had called her. Lastly, she had her mom conduct our 30 day meeting because that was the day she had double booked.
Our wedding day was beautiful. The venue was perfect. There were a couple of things that went wrong, but they were minor mishaps. We sent a seating chart that had 19 tables on it, but only 14 tables were set up. During our walkthrough, they mentioned having plenty of gray linens. We found out that some of them were sent to the cleaners so we had a mixture of gray and white tablecloths. We rented a cake serving set and an easel. They only provided the cake server and not the knife, so we cut our cake with the server. The easel was not the one we asked for, but luckily it had worked.
I loved my wedding day and truly it was the best day of my life. I wish I could say the same about my experience with One Preston Events but every step of the process was met with disappointment, due to the lack of...
Read moreOne Preston Events was absolutely amazing to work with. We were hosting our annual company Christmas Party at Foley Pools and were looking for the perfect place to host, and One Preston sure was it! We originally met with Tori and Mina to go over logistics and they were so great to work with. They are both so sweet and helpful. Tori was my main point of contact and she was AWESOME! She was so responsive and was always quick to help with any questions I had about our party. Any time Tori was out of office for the day, Mina or someone else from their team was always quick to jump in and help while Tori was out. I was quite impressed with how quick their response time was. Not only from Tori, but from their whole team. The whole planning process went so smoothly all because of the amazing team they have! They were always willing to hear out my ideas and offer suggestions. Party planning can be a bit hectic, but it never felt that way working with Tori! The day of the party, Tori and her team helped us set up beforehand which made the process so much easier. Tori made sure everything was running smoothly, such as music, our different table set ups, games, etc. and was sure to check in with me to make sure I didn't need anything. We had an amazing set up as well! We had Jenga, Connect 4 and corn hole set up on the patio area. It was a great add on for our guests. We had access to their bluetooth speakers, allowing us to play Christmas music throughout the entire party. It made the atmosphere that much more fun for everyone! We catered our food and Tori's team was awesome at helping us to serve the food and also handled the clean up afterwards. It made the process that much easier on us, where we were able to fully relax and enjoy the party! We really wanted to have an event to give back to our employees, allowing them to relax and have fun as we headed into our holiday break, and we got just that! I heard nothing but amazing feedback from our employees and everyone had SO much fun! One Preston Events exceeded our expectations and went above and beyond for us. We will most definitely be back next year and for many more years to come. To Tori, Mina, and everyone else on the One Preston Team - Thank you so much for making this the best Christmas Party...
Read moreAttended a wedding here recently. The purposely built event campus is smartly arranged around a medium size pond with a water feature and lush landscaping including Weeping Willow Trees & graceful ornamental fountain grasses. The larger parking area for event guests is nearby but separated enough to help reinforce the quaint rustic atmosphere of the grounds. There are basically three unique structures with specific functions each equal-distance from the other & all facing forward towards the waterfront. There is a circular one-way single drive that wraps around the pond — allowing special guests the opportunity to stop and drop off passengers nearer to entrance doors. The middle structure is built to mimic the style & architecture of a small country church or chapel. Very simple in design & concept — appears to hold approximately 125 - 150 plus guests in tight quarters. The larger barn shaped structure (about 100 feet from the chapel) is a short walk for guests attending a party or reception. This barn like structure is spacious with very high ceilings, modern wood decor and spaces dedicated for staging a caterer, a bartender, a DJ and of course adequate tables & chairs for about 150 guests. By all appearances — an event planner can take the spaces available to decorate as much as one’s budget provides. This event ended after dark and I noted no additional outdoor lighting was added by the event planner — which would have been a nice safety feature walking out to the dark parking lot. Overall a very nice event center that helped create a beautiful backdrop for this couples wedding and reception. This quaint campus is located on the north end of the small business district of Gunter, Texas — right off the main highway cutting through town. Google Maps brought us right into the...
