Nice place to take a short hike up a little trail to see where the spring comes out of the hill. There are little waterfalls that are great for photography and it's not uncommon to see this area being used for professional pictures of graduating seniors, weddings and engagements. The trail has been made easier to navigate due to an Eagle Scout project and there is now a small gazebo at the trail head. There is also a unisex porta potty located near the parking area. A small well kept trail is adjacent to the spring. As I hiked up I was amazed just how Green it was. Trail goes up a little and you see this flows out of the hill. You keep hiking on back side down to the parking area. Although perfect respite for deer I didn't encounter any this visit. In my opinion this is one of the jewels of Iowa.
