Lake Minnawanna — Attraction in Hadley Township

Love this place! Very nice and spacious. Volleyball net, picnic and grilling areas, canoeing and kayaking is abundant and able to fish off the dock as well. Pets allowed on the grass and there's an area you can take them to in the water as well (by the boat launch). They do have a concession stand open during certain hours where you can also rent kayaks and floaties along with purchasing food and beverages. Routinely monitored by DNR, but no life guard on duty. State Park pass required for entry, which can be purchased at the gate for $16 and is good until your license plate...

Beautiful setting in a state park. Need a recreation passport to get in. I recommend not swimming if you see a large amount of geese by the water (they get Goose Busters to clear em out but usually not until June, this past year was even later and they don't have to post warnings about water quality... Great place to bring the family for camping. Staff was awesome, campsites were clean bathrooms were clean. Great fishing and hiking trails. Unfortunately the store was closed when they were posted open two days in a row for our stay but I'm not going to let that knock the review because how great the park actually was.
