Excellent little Pebble Beach on one side and tide pools on the other. Not much to do here except enjoy the natural beauty, watch the critters in the tide pools and examine the geology which is an alluvial fan, from which come all the beautiful pebbles that make up the majority of the beach. Its usually not too crowded, especially during weekdays. Probably due to the limited parking. There is a bathroom with a Pit Hole Toilet. If you have never experienced one before, give it a shot so you can check it off the old bucket list. You are sure to never use one again.....Basically sticking your head in a sewage pipe is just as stinky,...

Amazing place with a wonderful variety of natural feature to explore. Very fascinating to kids of all ages. The waves are very strong - this is a place to enjoy the power of the ocean from afar. Nice hike to the south of the parking lot where the tide pools are - two paths - one downwards to the tafoni rocks and one atop where the bridge is. To the north of the parking lot is a really fun smooth pebbled beach. The rocks are so smooth they are fun to lie down on, and enjoyable for little ones to scoop and pour, and have a great tactile experience. PLEASE DO NOT...

On one of most beautiful stretches of CA-01, this is located inside too many other beaches and seaside parks to be missed out on a long drive. Never ignore this place thinking about beach OD because every state park has its own aura. Two guys I know told that they saw whales body or carcass on this place. If you are not that much lucky, at least you will meet the sticking Anemones and annoying Plovers on the beaches and to the rocks. And speaking about sandy rocks looking like honeycomb or dried foam is another treat which I got to know late that is...

Just past the turn off to Pescadero, Bean Hollow is not as busy as it’s neighboring beaches. It’s also not a sandy beach and warns of cold water, rip tides and sharks. To the north of the parking lot is a pebbled and rocky beach. Very dramatic as the waves crash and splash upwards and then fall over the rocks. To the south is a self guided walk along the top of the bluffs with signage to educate about the rocks off shore where many birds strut and nest. Seals too!

Pebble Beach @ Bean Hollow was a quiet & intriguing little beach. Felt like something out of Alien. The multitude of colorful little pebbles was something I'd never seen before. And I loved how they had created little hollow circles in the rocks along the shore. A few people were out and about, but it was relatively quiet even on a warm Saturday. Dog friendly. The tide pools were full of crabs & starfish. Definitely a place I'd like to return to.
