Just out driving around today exploring Hagerstown as a recent NJ transplant and saw sign Orchard and Dairy Farm, so slowed down and drove up the drive. A third generation working dairy farm that also sells peaches and other garden produce picked fresh and sold at "very reasonable" price points. I had been carving some homegrown tomatoes, not hot house or the dreaded supermarket variety and I purchased a $5.00 container that probably weighed between 3~4 pounds and I had been paying $4.50 lb. at local Washington County farmers markets, no more. The center slice covers a slice of bread, just add some Dukes Mayonaise and salt and pepper plus BLT'S for lunch tomorrow, also will be great with scrapple and make great frizzled tomatoes.
