I recently became a Yellowstone (the Paramount series) fan and began a cross country road trip in honor of my father. My father was a big fan of western movies so I made sure to route my trip through Montana and to make a special stop in Darby, Montana as to take pictures with his obituary photo.
Sad to say my overall Darby, Montana experience was way below expectations. There was a guard at the entrance of Chief Joseph Ranch who immediately told me I couldn’t get out of my car. I was on the public road’s shoulder! When I proceeded my wish to ask a simply ask a question, I was accused of being disrespectful!’ All I tried to do was politely ask a question. Definitely not the Montana hospitality that one would expect.
I understand that they encounter hundreds of people wanting to take a photo of the popular show Yellowstone Dutton Ranch and do not wish to have passerbys crowding their entrance. So my advise…post a sign!!! Tourist don’t know the rules...
Read moreI recently purchased merch from the website and I need a smaller size for 2 items. I called the ranch number and was told this was a third party deal and she advised me to leave an email on the site. I did just that. No one has gotten back to me about how to return the merch or emailed me or anything. The money is not the problem. It's the lack of integrity to respond. Very disappointed in the ranch for this!! We LOVED the show Yellowstone and were thinking of booking a stay, but if this is how the customers are treated, I am not interested!!! Ya know, its the small folks that allow you to grow and be what you are today. Don't forget that! So, friends, just make sure that if and when you order merch on-line, be ready to be stuck with it, no...

Felt bizzare after watching Kevin Costner kill so many people. Anywho, I appreciated them greeting us at the gate and willingness to give us what they call in the ‘Tana a “walk n see”. Lovely landscape and was impressed that the filming left the property unscathed. For my personal opinion, on behalf of what the owners may say…respect the land, it’s the only land we have. When we do that, it respects us back. Enjoy the views, show and take the time. Please Mark as helpful and follow. I’d like to start a podcast in my travels so I need to see if...
