What a wonderful place!!! Mary and Noah, primary keepers of the SweetRoot Farm love growing healthy, organic vegetables and flowers for the community. They are filling a need that you won't find in the grocery stores. They have other farming crew that live at the farm in cabins - some are permanent and some come for a shorter stay. They grow every vegetable that is in season and from May until October they haul a plethora of vegetables and flowers from SweetRoot Farm to the Hamilton Farmer's Market on Saturdays, from 9 am to 12:30 noon. So needless to say they are a busy crew. Prices are very reasonable - remember it is like that garden in your back yard that you may or may not have gotten to this summer (or next summer) - lol. They work into the night with lighted headgear when necessary. The food is delicious and worth the trip. Just off the main highway - follow the road. They have two mascots - a beautiful husky-looking dog named Malayia (Ma-ly-ah) and Zukes. So you get to enjoy their company while you shop for vegetables. Please make it a stop that you'll be glad you checked out .... they are expanding and will have a new 'store' (much larger) so you can shop when you want - someone is always around the farm to answer questions or help you. Have a great winter...
