I lived in the Pacific Northwest so am accustomed to beautiful bountiful forests. First visit to the Wilds, hopefully won't be the last, most beautiful stretch of hardwood forests (colors) -mid October'23. Took highway 6 east to West and it kept getting more beautiful! I took the Pine Creek Gorge rail trail with a rental from Pine Creek Outfitters. Awesome ride and they will pick you up at one of 2 stops. Highly recommend this. Unfortunately the weather was rainy and cloudy so we were unable to dark sky view. Plan to go during a new moon. The elk visitor center near Benedette Is with the trip, nice 1/2 hr video, you probably won't see elk but it's a nice place. We did see an Elk herd driving out of Wharton. Don't believe the hype about which gorge outlook to view. There both beautiful, Colton point and Leonard-Harrison.

10 out of 10. We love all things nature, Pennsylvania is by far the most beautiful state in America. Good luck changing my mind.

Camping was very remote , didn't like we had to pay for shower and drive to it a mile because we had a dog and had to stay at separate campground that was same price per site that had showers. Hiking trail has large grade Scenery was beautiful, didn't see one elk though it was June. This is a very remote area fyi. I still lived it. Kettle Creek...

Really nice tourist information center. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They also sell gifts from local craftspeople. We went here during the Christmas season when they were having an event all around town. The ended up having Santa here so we could get some good pictures of...
