Great farm, with multiple areas to explore and play. They have the best playground area and variety that I've seen. The kids had a blast. Some animals you can feed, and cute café. We all enjoyed going.

Cost to enter the play area were a but high in my opinion, but I know covid has effected many places and could be the reason.

Only reason for 4 stars was because I feel accessibility ♿️ acess is lacking in some places. My main complaint was that my mother was going to take our kids into the play area because she is free (60+). However my toddler is disabled, and requires assistance to walk and play on playground equipment. I asked if myself or my husband could go in just to assist her, since her walker doesn't work well on grass and sand. I was told not unless we purchased a wristband at full-price. Obviously we complied, because it's not acceptable for her to be excluded or unsafe. However grandma also couldn't watch 2 older children as well as assist our toddler.

I would never ask for anything free, but we were not entering for fun or enjoyment. We were purely there to provide aide to a disabled child.

Overall we had a great time, and would visit again if...

Not a good place if you are a person of color …. I had been coming here for 8 years nothing spectacular about it just your regular ho drum hay ride … hot dogs …. Goats…. Other animals w delicious smells .. yawn …. But something to do on a Saturday in the fall …. We ended our trip w a stop at the gift shoppe as my child picked what she wanted and I looked around too …. The woman was following her around. What did you do with that … don’t touch that …. Where is that other thing you had ? I got sooo fed up I took what I had in my hands and I said you know what forget it …. And I walked out …. Ever since we have been going to Pick a pumpkin in schoharie and it has been fantastic no racists …. They have a slide down the hill that’s tons of fun …. They have hay stacks to jump off of the apple cider dounuts go by on a conveyor belt they are fun to watch they have a scavenger hunt for free which the kids love ….. I read in another review that people paid 70 bucks for a play area for their kids here 😳 someone else said that this place is price gouging if you doubt that …. There’s your proof in the pudding …. My memories and money will be made and spent at pick a...

As a small Business owner, Our family has always strived to support family owned businesses. For nearly 20 years we have visited Ioka for our Christmas Tree. We always love the experience of the hay ride and trekking up the mountain side in search of our tree and the hot cocoa afterwards. The true measure of a business is also how they respond if something isn't quite right. This season our tree unfortunately was not taking in water and as a result 6 days out from Christmas it dried out. I am not sure if the drought conditions contributed to this, but I did place a call to Ioka and left a message. Missy called me back and I explained the situation. She was very understanding and invited us back to select another tree. The prospect of having to remove decorations along with having to again redecorate was not what I had planned, but knowing how concerned she was and reaching out with the offer was very much appreciated by our Family. We have attended other events at Ioka and always enjoy the time there. Our Sincere thanks to Missy and all at Ioka who helped us out. Our best wishes for a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. This year was our 1st year trying Ioka Valley Farm and this year forward it will now be our Christmas tree tradition. They are very helpful; once you've selected your tree they use a tractor to tag and trailer your tree to the parking lot. They ask you what type of tree stand you have and they sand down the bottom and trim the bottom tree branches in prep for whichever stand you have. They also give you the option to have your tree wrapped for easier transport. They had cookies and hot chocolate with a fire while you wait and you receive a complimentary ornament with your tree purchase. The selection of trees was fantastic with 3 options of species to choose from. It was certainly an experience to remember.

My husband and I had a great time at Ioka Valley Farm. The tour of the sugarhouse and learning about the process of making maple syrup was interesting and educational, we had a lot of fun taste-testing the products, and enjoyed a delightful brunch at the Calf-A. Great place for families, kids, and the average adventurer looking to learn about maple syrup and try some of the best! Would highly recommend a visit to anyone in the area looking for a fun (and delicious!) way to spend an hour or so. All of the staff were very friendly and made me and my service dog feel welcome, especially Margie, thank you! (Please note, NO PETS allowed.)

The people who run and who visit this farm are amazing! I recently had an opportunity to run my car into a ditch there, and the amazing response of everyone who came to my aid will always make me smile …if you’re looking for a place where people are still wonderful and helpful and the pie is amazing, don’t miss Ioka Valley Farm. And THANK YOU!
