Gorgeous views. Route 202 runs along the pond and there's a railway track that makes for a nice hiking area. Follow this track north (then take a right at the town sign): you'll come to a footbridge to cross into downtown Bennington. It's a quiet, tiny town close to Crotched Mountain ski resort.

This is one of the only places where you won't find it difficult to come across monster fish. Infact, I caught my all-time personal best chain pickerel which was about 20 inches and was really fat. It was one of the best fights I've had in a long time. This place is a great fishery and I...
