We visited on a sunny Sunday with the temps in the 30’s. Parking lot was actually pretty full but we did find parking. There is garbage, recycling and a porta-potty off the lot. The lake is quite pretty. Only use for fishing, no swimming or boating. We walked the paved trail and then caught up with some of the grassy trails off of Higgins Rd. My boyfriend and I discovered this nice little place on our way to an errand. We loved it! The lake is very serene and beautiful. I recommend bringing a Lawn chair, to relax and take it all in. There are people that come with their bicycle, there's trails. People also come to fish, we seen them fishing. We've continued to come again. It's a good place for a picnic. Family friendly. Update 06/09/2022 We tried fishing and we had a great time. We caught 2 fishes in not evening an hour of being there! So much fun and...

I enjoy coming here on my bike rides, since bode lake is connected to a pretty long trail. I especially enjoy coming here during the sunset when the lake looks spectacular! A word of caution though, sometimes the pay near the east edge of the lake can get flooded during times of heavy rain. Otherwise it's a nice easy path to walk on. As for people with wheelchair needs or other special accomodations, the entrance to the park is a tad steep so be careful. The park also has picnic tables too and a big empty...
