So we were able to experience the wine festivals this yr on 3/2/24 in Toledo. I must say it was really nice we had a blast. Now I must say this company from what we were able to try had some pretty good wines. But that is not all a business should operate on. So towards the end of the event we were able to finally get in their line and have a few samples which the line only had 6/8 people in. The guy that assisted us was older tall with glasses can’t recall his name, but I don’t forget a face. He proceeded to tell us about the wine we requested to taste & its sugar content. So after tasting 2 wines which we are allowed 4 tasting from each vendor. I ask to taste my 3rd sample to which he says No very firmly and when I asked why he states it’s people behind you. It’s about ( maybe 5/6 ppl at this point) Not 20/30 like earlier in the night. And we waited in line just like everyone else. So instead of going back & forth. I see there is a line no one is in same vendor so I step over & ask the young lady politely can she pour me a sample of a certain wine to taste to which the person I am with has had a sample & feels I would like it enough to buy a bottle. And to my understanding they don’t have that many bottles of this wine left. The guy looks at her & basically says NO with his eyes. So instead of him remaining professional & courteous to the customer .He puts his hand up telling us to go away fanning us off with his hand. In response I say how rude and we get back in line.We reach the front of the line to be served again & I say now can I have that sample of wine, he looks at me very annoyed & firmly says no & voices to me like I am a child that since I asked the young lady for a sample that he wouldn’t serve me. Then proceeded to become argumentative instead of hearing me the costumer & not continuing to be rude, disrespectful & unprofessional. Me stating to him there was a better way. All he had to say if you don’t mind getting back in line so we can serve the ppl behind you. No he never once asked us to get back in line or made us feel like that was an option. At this point I guess the owners over hears what is going on & steps in.Now in his defense, not an apology for his employee behavior was given. But he leads with he has worked for him for 13yrs & he’s only doing what I tell him. And then expressed they have worked all day with no break/lunch since noon. I empathize with them, but that is still no excuse to treat ppl that way. He further states when I asked how often do they participate in wine fest (Every year he says) Now that being said help me understand. How is that okay when the owner & staff knows what this event intels. Either bring more staff or dnt have ppl with that type of attitude front and center to represent your company. Why the owner was more courteous it’s like he was okay & condoned his staff attitude/behavior. I try to not be like the ppl that makes this world so unbalanced so I did buy one bottle of the wine that was such a hassle & difficult to get a sample of. Again the way you treat ppl & first impressions are everything. And it appears from other reviews that I am not the only one that have experienced rude & off putting behavior & for...
Read moreWe stopped by for our first visit, to the vineyard on an outdoor summer evening, to unwind. My husband and myself brought our two leashed small well behaved dogs, as we read online they are dog friendly. The winerys own page reads-Summer hours, dog friendly Thursday 4-9, Friday 1-9, Saturday 1-9, and so on. I can admit, that I apparently misread that. To me it read that all of these hours during the summer outside were open to dogs. We came onto the property and immediately had Eddie the owner bum rushing us to tell us our dogs were not welcome. I explained, that I had attempted to confirm online before coming and thought they were. I started to apologize but before I could he immediately told me in a very harsh tone I had read no such thing and I was wrong. He immediately asked if we had ever been there before and where we were from. He finally offered us to stay but said this was not a dog day authored his dogs were loose on the property and he wasnt responsible for what happened to our dogs with them with our dogs being there. We were fine with being told it was not a dog day BUT neither my husband nor myself felt welcomed by his nasty tone and inhospitable approach towards the matter and I was not ok with the threat of hia dogs vs mine. Again, we understood the message just didn't appreciate the matter of how it was addressed. Could have been handled more professionally and really just simply said in a more kind manner. And for the record his online page can be misleading on dates and times as they are all ran together in the sentence and he was just rude (as I can also see in his responseto negative reviews here). We went to the Dora and spent our money on beer and food there instead and will pass on...
Read moreCame for one of their Sat. evening events with live music & a scheduled food truck. Evening was very pleasant & band was fine.
However, for whatever reason the POS system crashed & the long slow line grew longer & none of the staff seemingly made any effort to address the crowd or offer any solution to the confusion other than a “sorry for the delay” lament. The fancy brick pizza oven supposedly can only do 1 pizza at a time? While I doubt that, I did hear the staff announce it would take 45-50 minutes to get a pie. My spouse stood in line for over 45 minutes for 2 cans of soda. Oddly enuf they didn’t take cash to help ease the issue & management never made any efforts to compensate the customers for the huge inconvenience such as printing out simple $5 off next visit brouchures or sprinting out & buying water from a nearby store to pass out to customers. Nope, nothing. While the evening weather was nice I’m afraid to come back again though the place...
