Hillman State Park — Attraction in Hanover Township

I'm not a fan of hiking but Hillman has a Wetland Trail which is easy to walk and passes several nice ponds (see one pond in attached picture). If hiking's your thing, there's 18 other trails running a total of 34 miles. The other feature of the park is for a specific hobby of radio-controlled aircraft flying. This is a great park. We really enjoy biking, hiking, and fishing here. The mountain biking trails are fast and flowing. There are quite a few places flat enough for kids to get into biking the trails. It does get flooded with guys in orange during hunting season. I'd recommend avoiding the area for two or three weeks after Thanksgiving. If you're planning on hunting here, just know that this place gets a ton of pressure from guys coming out...

Brought my son here for some day hiking last weekend as we’ve never been here but have been to raccoon state park just north many times. Trails were well kept but not overly well blazed. Strung together a 10 mile loop by following abbys trail to the switchback trail to the wetlands trail and maybe even a few others that we just connected to.
