Lake Gitchegumee — Attraction in Hanover Township

I live here and honestly, all the people here agree, this should not be an association, because we never see any real updates. we all just pay, and they all collect for there own personal use is what it seems. And the biggest kicker, the speed limit radar sign, for reall... I am all for driving slow in and around any subdivision, but some one should look up why you don't see white strobe lights on the radar signs.. just food for thought, (hint) epilepsy............ but, can't complain, the people who live here, are nice and caring for the most part, and it is a great place to live. we have lived on the lake now for two years, and love it. the only thing i would say about being in the association that they could do more of, is possibly cleaning up some of the hoarders on the lake. Its quiet everyone keeps to themselves and we like that it. Lake Gitchegumee is a very nice neighborhood, private lake access with well maintained members only areas. The roads are county maintained and in good condition. The lake Association is made up of volunteers who do their best to uphold the rules and property values. We love the area and have just built a new house, moving to the area was a great decision.
