Villa Olivia ended up being the perfect venue for our wedding! From the first walkthrough to the day of the wedding (6/8/24), everything just felt easy. Lisa was great and always quick to respond to emails. She gave us suggestions and walked us through parts of the day that we weren't sure about. The week of the wedding, we dropped off all our decorations for the reception and Lisa set it all up the night before. We were able to see it at the rehearsal and she did a great job! We really appreciate all the work that she put into the day! The venue included food, the space, the bar, and the cake. We opted to add in hors d'oeuvres and an ice cream sundae bar! They even offered some decor for the tables. Having everything included made the process much less stressful than I think it could have been! The day of the wedding, there was a chance of rain. Lisa and the other staff were very patient with us as we tried to decide if we should risk the outdoor ceremony. They ended up allowing us to have the ceremony in our preferred room inside and the photos turned out beautiful! They remind me of being in a library. Thank you, Lisa, and everyone at Villa Olivia for making our wedding memorable, simple, and for being so flexible and accommodating! Our guests had nothing but great things to say about the food, staff, and space. If we had to pick a venue all over again, we'd make the same decision! **Adding a few of our preview photos so you can see the room. I will try to update with better pictures when we get them!

Please, avoid/boycott this place. I was driving down west on Lake Street and turned left heading south on Naperville Road (a busy main road). After turning on Naperville Rd, a golf ball hit my vehicle causing damage that will need to be repaired. Villa Olivia is taking zero responsibility for this, refusing to pay the repairs for the damages. The location of where my car got hit was from the ninth (final) hole of the golf course. By the time I got to the facility to confront the golfer, he/she had already left being the end/final hole of the course. So on top of the golf course attempting to wipe their hands clean of the damages, they are refusing to let me contact the golfer that hit my car (based on records of who was there at that time) Very unethical and irresponsible business practices. The golf course is liable for this since they did not provide adequate protection for golf balls leaving their property. Furthermore, there is no indication/signage in the route I was driving that there was even a golf course or a warning drivers of potential hazards furthering their negligence. A police report has been filed against Villa Olivia and the Bartlett Park District (who owns the golf course). I certainly hope they do the right thing and pay the deductible for my damages. Why should it be the driver’s responsibility to pay for the vehicle damage cause by a golfer on their property?! Please do the right/ethical thing and pay the deductible to this damage.

Went tubing today with the family. It was about 30 degrees out and lightly snowing. Loved the tubing! The magic carpet is very convenient to take up the hill, and there are lanes going down to make it safe. There are two picnic tables nearby, but it would be nice to have more, maybe with heaters or fire pits like I've seen at another tubing site. I saw one large group the brought hot chocolateand camp chairs! Oh, and there's a couple areas there you can just take a tube and do classic tubing on small hills. However, it was extremely slippery! They had a few mats down that helped, but there were not enough, and after time, they also became crusted over with ice. Everyone in our group of 6 fell at least once. And I went home with bruises on my shin and cheek. The place at the top of the hill where you get on the tubes was super slick and even the workers commented on it. One of them told me that they tried to radio down to request someone to bring salt, but no one was answering the walkie-talkie. I understand that the combination of elements can make things slippery, but that's where the facility needs to respond with mats, gravel, salt, railings, and more level ground in the walking areas.
