This is the absolute best park my kids and I have ever been to and we have been so SO very many! This park has everything! They have 3 separate play structure areas that are great... theres a tennis court, basketball, volleyball net/ sand area, a skate park area, many fields... soccer, baseball and a couple other fields... at the back is the playground and volleyball court and on the side towards the back of the park you can go on some trails to take a nature walk and see the streams and green plants... it's beautiful. Down one of the trails, a little ways back there is a dog area where there's a couple separate, fenced, off-leash dog areas. There's also some chin-up bars in a couple areas, there are picnic tables and BBQ areas throughout the front, middle and back of the park, there is a couple different large covered areas as well... I think there also is a phone charging area or 2 also. There may be more than what I've just listed, I'm not saying that's everything but I know I've seen all I've described myself... it's huge. And it's gated, the gates are open during the day but they lock at night...you can get out but not in once the park closed at night time. It's in a great area, it's very well taken care of and it's the perfect place for get-togethers or parties or jist a day with your family. My kids love going to this park, even when we only have an hour to spare it's great for just a quick fun trip with the kids also... unfortunately I do not believe it's on or near the bus line and I'm not sure how far the nearest bus stops are...
Read morePark is fabulous, but the mechanical bull ride employee today was allowing the ONE and ONLY safety rule, "you can ONLY ride if you can mount the bull yourself," to be completely disregarded at the 2019 4th of July Festival today, by allowing a drunken mother to place 2 of her tiny preschool aged children up on the mechanical bull when they were far too small and unable to reach, and then allowed them to each ride and be thrown twice. When I pointed it out, his only reply was, "bro, I just work here." Apparently he thought that was a good excuse, and didn't realize that "working" there meant he was getting paid to enforce the rules, and keep everyone safe, instead of creating huge liabilities for the park and opening up the entire city of Happy Valley to litigation when some little kid dies on a ride, and then they end up cancelling all subsequent festivals, fairs, and events in Clackamas County as a result, because the Bro "just worked there," and would rather hang out talking with his 2 buddies at his control button podium than do the job he was getting paid for. It's only ONE rule BRO, keep the...
Read moreThis is a really nice, well maintained park with beautiful walking paths thru a wetlands area and more around the perimeter of the park. Dogs on leash except in the fenced dog parks and most people follow the rules. We've only observed one person with their dog off leash. Admittedly the dog was well trained but regardless, it's bad form to ignore the rules and set a poor example. Always someone thinks they're special. It can cause a problem even if your dog is well trained, someone else will follow suit whose dog isn't (but they think their dog is friendly or some other rationalization). Anyway, do follow the leash rules wherever you go and maintain a wonderful, safe environment for everyone. This is a great place in general to walk yourself with or without your pup. The dog parks are very nice and there are few problem dogs and very few problem owners. We've not run into a single significant issue in the year and a half we've been...
