Arapooish Recreation Park — Attraction in Hardin

Busy on a Thursday evening in early summer. The Russian olive trees surrounding the pond are in full bloom and the fragrance is a bit overpowering so beware if you have allergies. I don't fish but saw and heard several jumping out of the water. Thought they were frogs and maybe they were but if so, they were jumping a mighty long way! I'm just stopping for the night and so far so good besides the steady stream of cars. Appears to be a popular place with the locals, lots of off leash dogs but they appeared under control. Little kids running everywhere unintended. They came running into our little spot by the lake while I had my pittbull right next to me and threw rocks into the pond right where I was fishing, then preceded to tell me “the pond is to dirty to fish” even if they are swimming in the “dirty pond”. This place is absolutely stunning! This place was a fantastic place to walk the dogs, see the carp in the pond, and just relax without the noise of cars. The views are stunning.

But I'm severely frustrated that our generations are becoming such trashy people. There was trash everywhere, beer cans, soda cups, etc. Kids have spray painted the trees and park sign. This is not the fault of the park itself, but the kids who feel the need to be a*holes. I still think this place was an...
