I have ordered from this company for the past few years. I order gifts for my coworkers who work in another state, as well as fruit for myself and my family. I know to place my order well in advance due to their unique harvest and shipping schedule. This year, I placed my order for Christmas delivery on 12/6. On 12/20, I had not heard from my coworkers that they received anything from me so I reached out to the customer service team via email to request tracking information. I placed one order to be delivered to two separate addresses, so there should be two tracking numbers. The email I received in response only provided one tracking number. I responded immediately requesting the second tracking number. By the end of the day, I still had not received the second tracking number so I sent a follow up email. The response I received from Amanda was simply the tracking number without any greeting or statement. Just a tracking number. I was surprised the lack of response was so cold. When I tracked that package, I discovered that FedEx damaged the package five days prior. I understand this is not the fault of Crockett farms. I called the office and spoke with Brisa who told me that she was very sorry and she would do her best to get a replacement sent out first thing Monday morning. On Tuesday, 12/24, I emailed the customer service email to request the tracking for my replacement package. I was sent the tracking information for the original package which was damaged. I called customer service again and explained the situation and asked for the tracking number. The person I spoke with said that a replacement had not been shipped and the soonest they could send something out would be January 7th. I was extremely disappointed but slay this point, I wanted my coworkers to receive the gift that the other coworkers received and the gift they had been receiving from me for the past few years so I agreed that would be fine. Yesterday, January 9th, I called to get the tracking number for the replacement package which was supposed to have been sent on the 7th. Yet again, I was told that nothing was sent out. I was beyond frustrated so I asked to speak to a manager. I was told the manager was on the phone but I could leave a message and they would call me back, so I left my information. Six hours later, I had yet to hear from anyone so I called back again. I was told by the woman who answered the phone that her manager was gone for the day but told her to tell me that all they could do was refund me or send a replacement. The manager couldn’t even take the time to call and speak to me about this situation. I told her I want to speak to the manager about my experience. I am so frustrated and disappointed with this situation. And honestly, I’m embarrassed that half of my coworkers think I did not send them a gift for the holidays. This whole experience was extremely unpleasant and I will be searching for a new fruit company to do business with for my future...
Read moreOur family exchanges fruit gifts each holiday season. Usually the ruby red grapefruit and honeybells. Current 3.7 star rating seems unfairly low. Call them up, talk to them, they cannot be disliked they are that helpful and talented.
We have shopped numerous farms in FL and TX. FL has suffered from citrus disease and/or blight, TX is the spot. Crockett is super far south so less risk of frost damage. But the quality, taste, and consistency of their fruit is what made it an easy decision to become permanent customers until something changes for the worse. Gifting fruit is kind of expensive, but in bigger quantities it's really a good deal. Good luck regularly finding such good quality citrus in your local markets.
We love Crockett Farms, and I assure you if you give them a try, you'll agree. We once reported 2 pieces of fruit frostbitten on the trip here, they sent a full layer of about 9 grapefruit to more than make it...
Read moreOrders done 1/29/24 for gifts for 2 different addresses arrived in timely manner. Grapefruit great, however the oranges in both gifts were woody and tasteless. After a call the orange replacements were to be sent. One shipment arrived March 10, fruit was better. The second replacement was not sent though processed at the same time. March 11 I called again, the right person was on lunch break, no return call several hours later. I called again same day, “it did not get shipped though was processed. It will go out tomorrow and you will have it by end of Week”. Never has there been any apologies. Today March 19, still no oranges. Call again, “It was shipped yesterday-18th, It will be there by the end of the week” Again NO APOLOGIES! Hmm They are not a member of the Better Business Bureau. I will not purchase again from this company with such poor customer service...
