B Country Farms 185 — Attraction in Harmony Township

We got a puppy from this breeder that was born August 31 2019. We loved her and she was an amazing puppy. She got sick, however, at 8 and 1/2 months old. She was sick for a month and several tests were run. In the end it was believed by her veterinarian that she had Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), which is an immune-mediated disease in which a dog's immune system begins to attack her own tissues. We did not have a chance to officially test for SLE before we had to put her down (she lost use of her esophagus and could not keep any food or water down). Per her vet, however, SLE is the only illness that could have explained all of her symptoms. Researchers do not know for sure what causes SLE but it thought by experts to have a genetic component. With all this being said, we do not have 100% proof that our puppy received a genetic disorder from her parents, but it is very possible and something we felt like should be known. I purchased a Red Merle Mini Aussie from B Country Farms in 2009 and Simba has been my loyal companion ever since! He’s an amazing guard dog - always alert to his surroundings.
