Wow, this took me from 25 years old back to 6. Shame on me and my parents for not knowing about this amazing place. 2 bucks for the awesome museum, 2 bucks for the train ride for 3 laps, and 2 bucks for kids to ride the pedal cars. Although this isn't "live steam" the engine and cars were beautiful. The woman in the museum was very friendly and told us the collection was her father's or grandfather's, and what a collection it was! The gentlemen driving the train and running the small station house was also very friendly. He let us roam around to get a couple pictures of the engine, check out the yard shed, and even walk around the inside of the tracks and over to the tunnel/shed the train runs thru. Great place for kids! I really hope this sticks around for many years to come, will be coming back everytime we visit Harper's Ferry...

Read moreWas on my list to do. The museum up top was crazy impressive with all the stuff they have. Kudos to Dad for collecting it all. I have a mild interest in trains, but anyone who does will get excited. The train rides and push carts were really cute, especially for young kids. Price for each was 3 bucks which is beyond a good deal. These area nice people and hoping they do well with this as I regard having both a public service. Both husband and wife couldn't be nicer and better hosts, and representatives for...
