The statue looks over Jaquish Island with gorgeous views and is dedicated the Maine Lobstermen who dedicated their lives. I would recommend reading about Elroy Johnson, who was the model for the statue, and a bit about the history and different locations the statue has lived.

Wonderfully crafted statue of a fisherman dealing with the lobster. Rich in detail and with very good proportions. Despite the name on google maps the statue is "A MEMORIAL TO ALL MAINE FISHERMAN WHO HAVE DEVOTED THEIR LIVES TO THE SEA"
