This place is the pinnacle of seclusion. Love that they only allow primitive camping(tent only). This park is easy access to Rt 322(in both directions). The Mid State Trail runs right through middle of park and lends itself to loop trails for dayhikes and for those wanting more of a challenge, a hike up MST lends itself to gaining access to Detweiler Natural area, Thickhead Natural Area and Bear Meadows Natural area. But the lake has a very healthy population of native brrok trout. For hiking, the Mid State Trail runs through the park and there are smaller trails nearby.
