I wouldn’t come unless you want to get racially profiled . Planned a small get together (8 people) at the grill with a couple friends . I asked a family who was there before if we had to rent the space and they said no they always do it without renting and we should be fine (you can guess what race they were) … me and my friends were doing no harm to anybody, had burgers and food on the grill , NO MUSIC & some drinks . A lady comes over with a trash bag and we thought she was about to clean so we offered to do it for her then she said she was just changing the trash. Ok cool. After staring at us she then proceeds to say we can’t smoke or drink (we didn’t know this) so we immediately agreed to clean up and put out the cigarettes that were later accused of being weed . After we put those away she THEN says “oh and btw my director and park director are across the street they’ve been watching the whole time” like ok ???? Why ?? We’re not doing anything wrong . So at this point we just said we would leave and get cleaned up and THENNNN she proceeds to say “and make sure you get the trash off the ground too” at this point it’s obvious what the vibes were. We weren’t welcomed or wanted here . We were going to clean up and i don’t know why she would assume that we wouldn’t . As we are cleaning up and walking to the car apparently we had the police called on us. He sped up literally speeding through the parking lot about to his pedestrians and everything as if we were criminals or something. We explained to him that we were uncomfortable and leaving and he said in a very disrespectful tone “THE PROBLEM IS YOUR SMOKING AND DRINKINF HIGH AND DRUNK” in which i replied sir i don’t even smoke or drink . Ive lived my 24 years of life sober . Next time dont judge a book by its cover . It’ll get you guys a long way . Oh also we were told we can’t come back which is fine because we don’t wanna be somewhere where the staff is mentally stuck in segregation...

A Beautiful park with historic stuff with a barn and silo used for picnics and reservations and holidays and parties and used for restrooms of course and wire fences all over the park and formerly Stonewall Jackson training school dairy farm honor Mr frank liske. I grew up around this area so I know this place pretty well and this is the best park around by far I even like this better than Freedom Park in Charlotte and not just because it's closer. It's a real shame that the barn burnt down, that Barn has been there a long time and had many many parties thrown in it. Now I will say that the staff can be a little uptight of times but that's to be expected they have an entire part to keep up with and deal with a lot of mean people on a daily basis but other than their strict rules that everyone there is really nice. It's a great place to bring the family to hang out with on the weekends you can do just about anything play mini golf, disc golf, volleyball, baseball, or just walk around and play on the playground with the kids. The food isn't that great but it's not expected to be at a public park it's still really cheap and the prices to rent out of place for a couple of hours for a party is really reasonable. If you're looking for a fun thing to do over the weekend I would highly recommend you check...

Frank Liske Park, in the heart of Cabarrus County in Concord, is the centerpiece of the county's Parks & Active Living program. This photo is of a sunflower in the community garden. Citizens can lease a raised bed plot for $25 a year and grow their own flowers and vegetables. The park is noted for its gravel running/walking trails. Individuals run and walk there and it is often used for college and high school cross country meets. There are brand new fitness stations (installed in summer, 2021) set up along a course in the woods. Frank Liske also features renewly resurfaced tennis courts (2020-21) and a full length championship disc golf course. Athletic fields include baseball, softball and a soccer complex. Frank Liske Park, named for a long community leader, is probably best known for its picnic shelters, which are available for reservation. The park also has a lake for fishing and paddle-boating and a mini-golf course.
