My husband and I had another venue picked out, and after looking at everything for a few months, we came to the conclusion that w just could not make it work. I was so anxious and nervous because basically all venues in the Charlotte area were booked for our April 27, 2019 wedding. Lori at the barn was one of the first people I talked to when first shopping for a venue, and I reached out to her after she kept in touch with me for several months. She cleared her day to give me a tour, gave me all information I needed up front, offered different pricing packages, and was so responsive and sweet. She is a true professional and she definitely knows what she is doing. I can be somewhat of a worry wart, and my husband is in the service industry. She and her team demonstrated all the things we wanted and needed. Besides that, the Barn is so affordable for what you get. You receive a whole team to work your day (complete with Lori), decor, tables, chairs, glasses, dishes, sparklers etc. Those things in itself are usually not included and add up fast! If you have an idea in mind, Lori probably has it, or will work to find it. She and her husband are constantly making upgrades to the property. She is also great about noticing the little moments you need a photographer, when your gifts need to be packed, who they go with, etc. The girls who worked my event had to fix my bustle the day of (twice) and were able to do so with a safety pin and super glue! You could tell they have run across any problem you have had and are not afraid to get in there and help. I received the best compliments from our guests, and they said it was one of the best weddings they've been to. It is a huge compliment, and I know we could not have done it without The 1932 Barn and their staff. If you never thought you'd use a barn for your wedding (it wasn't what I originally pictured) please reconsider just to have this venue on...

My wife and I got married at the 1932 Barn in May 2023. When we found the venue online, we immediately fell in love with it just by seeing the pictures. Fast forward a couple of weeks and we met Lori for the tour. We knew in the first 10 minutes it was the PERFECT place to host our special day. Lori is immediately welcoming, inviting, friendly, and has a true passion for celebrating love. She is also incredibly organized and lets you know from the START that you absolutely will not have to worry about any detail. She told us “this is your big day, leave the worrying to me,” and man did she really stay true to that. 10 months later, our big weekend is here. We never felt alone the entire planning process. We emailed her weekly, sometimes daily. She always answered within 24 hours. No questions was too small. Anything that was a big deal to us, was a big deal to her. When we had our design meeting, we may have changed our mind 100 times, and all they did was smile and give us honest advise. There aren’t enough words to express how special her team made us feel and how much they truly invest in making sure your day is perfect. We cried tears of joy just watching them work because they pour so much heart and soul into their venue. They aren’t just there to work, they are there to spoil you and celebrate with you. To them, you are family. Even our guests and bridesmaids had so many amazing things to say about spending the day with these people. We will forever be grateful to them and we will never forget each of them who played such a vital role in the most important day of our life thus far. If you are looking at this venue, BOOK IT. I guarantee it will be the best day of your life. I would do it over and over again if we could because we had THAT magical of an experience. WE LOVE YOU forever 1932 Barn...

If you’re reading this and looking for a wedding venue near Charlotte, I’d suggest you go ahead and book the 1932 Barn NOW! I spent hours researching wedding venues across North Carolina, and ultimately decided on the 1932 Barn for many reasons, any one of which alone would be reason enough to book.

First off, the venue is beautiful, rustic, and historic, and yet still within a taxi ride of a major city, making it a convenient location for our out-of-town guests, unlike most other barn wedding venues you’ll find which can often be remote and hard to access.

Second, Lori and her thoughtful team have MASTERED the wedding day-of coordination. They know the in’s and out’s of how to work with the vendors and set everything up, so that the wedding day runs as smoothly as possible. They’ve thought of everything and have back-up plans for whatever could go wrong, and on the wedding day, I felt totally taken care of. Lori and her team went above and beyond to accommodate my wishes as a bride (even when the pandemic derailed our original plans.) They were patient with me, answering my long list of questions.

Finally, the design consultation is the icing on the cake! They offer a humongous selection of decor for the bride to choose from, everything I could’ve dreamed up to match my aesthetic. Also, it was a total relief to not have to worry about finding and buying all that decor myself, let alone having to set it up and take it down—Lori’s team took care of all of that!
