If you are traveling to the Buffalo River area, the Arkansas Grand Canyon is definitely worth a quick stop. I came across the Arkansas Grand Canyon while traveling toward the Buffalo National River, and I am so glad I stopped.
There is a small gift shop on-site, which is convenient if you want a drink, or a local souvenir. Restrooms are also available, which makes this stop even more practical during a road trip. Parking is free and available on both sides of the gift shop, so it’s easy to pull over without hassle.

During very early Spring we were able to better see the elevation and steepness of the valleys and cliffs moreso than when the leaves are on the trees. Certainly not as much color as late Spring, but thrilling to the passengers in my car to look down or way up during the trip. Do the Jasper to Russellville trip (or vice versa) on Arkansas 7.
