Absolutely breathtaking views. Well worth the arduous climb. Be forewarned: intermediate hikers only, as the grade is steep and very rocky. Worth the effort, as the view on the summit is a 360 unhindered view of the Crawford notch, the distant Frankonia notch, and Mt. Washington. This hike is a can't-miss for anyone even partially interested in hiking the white mountains. Don't miss it.

Did an out and back to Mt Isolation. Views were spectacular the whole way. Trail is very well-maintained and marked up until Mt Stairs. From Stairs to Isolation it is very much a wilderness trail; narrow, overgrown, and hard to follow at times. Great place to log a lot of miles.

Great parking and very easy to locate of rt. 302 nice place to fuel up before and after a hike. Or just park and have a picnic along the edge of Saco River.
