A beautiful place for hiking. We first went to waterfall, which was a short trail to get ourself warmed up. We set there for almost an hour. The majestic waterfall was intimidating and soothing at the same time. Be careful though as the force of water is very high. We started on the next trail from there which had shortest miles but felt like we walked a lot on those neverending staircases. The ascent was fun because of company and company of oranges. We met a couple on our way and asked them about distance and direction of end point. They told us about a junction with three options and asked if we wish to go home, select 1.3 miles of descent. Which we chose but descent was harder than we expected. It was really very steep and the jungle floor kept getting muddy every now and then because of melting snow. One of us got injured before we started and had back pain as a result, which obviously was more painful while stepping down from the mountain. Finally we landed on the rail track. There was even steeper descent to the highway from there we had to walk a mile parallel to it to reach our vehicle. But due to our friends injury we decided to walk a mile alongside the track being vigilant of any tram passing. It was after 7pm so none of them came and we safly reached the place where it was a easy way down to the place we parked. It was really an adventurous experience and enjoyable hike. I will recommend it to fellow hikers.

This park was an amazing crescendo to our White Mountain vacation! The picnic area is along a small river pond, all nestled in a literal bowl of mountains! The views are breath taking. An abundance of trails gives lots of hiking options for all interest levels. Restrooms are available, and the park is a carry-in-carry-out. We stayed into the early evening and were able to see the sun set over the mountains, washing the rocky faces in brilliant orange and reds, it is truly something to witness. The drive in is just as amazing as the park itself! No matter which direction you drive in from you should take the moment to drive the mountain pass, as the views and cliffs are worth seeing. With the lodge at the top, you could turn this park into a vacation of its own, and has certainly made my list of places to return to.

WOW 😲! My first 🥇 time visiting was as a kid, but, even though I enjoyed the views, camping and swimming in the streams, I didn't enjoy being carsick. I visited on and off in my younger years. I brought my son for snow tubing. My last visit was by train 🚂🚃 from North Conway. Now, I'm exploring NH waterfalls, trails and history. Crawford has it all, including camping, swimming, breathtaking views and the possibilities of seeing wildlife such as bears 🐻 or moose. Places I have visited that I recommend; Ripley, not the woman who fought Aliens, and Arethusa Falls, Davis Path trail, Silver Cascade and Willey House and Pond and trail. Driving RT 302, you 🙈 see so much! My heart breaks when I have to leave! I recommend a visit!
