I was shocked when I asked the front staff if they could accommodate my autistic son, and they said. No. I didn't get anything but a solid no at first. Shocked, I calmly explained he is autistic. He patiently waited 20 min from pure excitement but now it's like torture for him standing in one spot in the sun waiting to go into a Waterpark he is so excited to go into. I asked for a manager. A supervisor cane out and said I'm sorry we can't , you have to wait in line. I walked over to the girl doing the scans and told her my son is autistic he is here crying screaming and it isn't because of bad behavior he can't control it. I showed her my passes and she let us in. The park staff needs to be aware of children with autism visiting the park. I suggest a workshop , bring in someone from the autistic society center to speak to the staff and train them. Other than that the park is great for...
Β Β Β Read moreGreat fenced running track. It could use a recovery, but I am thankful we have this in Hartsville. There is a decent paves walking trail that goes throughout the park. We frequently see wildlife including a red-tail Hawk, otter, turtles and lots of birds(I love nature.) There are baseball and softball fields, soccer fields, basketball court, football fields, tennis courts, dog park, and a playground. The playground has inclusive equipment , so special needs kiddos get to enjoy being outside and playing as well. Along the walking track their are different areas for working out including pull up bars, dip bars, tires for flipping, monkey bars, there was a deadlift/over head press thing by the track but they have taken that apart. Their are public restrooms as well. We frequent here multiple...

This information would be helpful on the MAIN page of the website and to also be told upon entry. It would also be nice of this rule applied to ALL people taller than 54 inches. There were several children/adults that repeatedly went on the slides on front of the "lifeguards" - (I use that term loosely because other than their barely noticeable red fanny pack, you wouldn't know that was their role) and were never told to stay off of the slides. The price should also be reduced to the adult rate, rather than the child rate.
A little bit of Southern hospitality or a greeting would be nice at the desk upon...
