Great place for hiking, different trails, one goes through a wooded area, where we saw an opossum! another trail goes by the lake which is harder to walk because of all the plants on the ground that get entangled on your feet, and is also sandy which makes it even harder! I've been here a couple of times, we always see lots of geese on the lake, we didn't see any eagles tough. There are lots of trash on the trails, so take a trash bag with you if you care about picking up some. The Eagle bluffs spot is big, has lots of parking spots, the headquarters parking spot is small for about 10 cars only. There are restrooms at both of these points. During my January visit, I saw several animal foot prints on the snow, raccoons probably. All the snow and ice had melted by the end of February

We went towards end of July so water was down. Walked down to the farther boat ramp and across. Mostly rocky road but enjoyed walking along the water. Lots of birds including a couple of bald eagles, bunch of Monarch butterflies. No shade though so bring water, maybe sunscreen and wear good shoes. We'll be back to walk longer with a sack lunch.

A nice hiking trail off the beaten path. The area is beautiful and there are plenty of areas to view wildlife. You can tell the trail is in need of a bit of TLC but otherwise a nice visit

3 stars because parts of the water I have been at had carp everywhere. Bank fishing is somewhat limited unless you're down to walk a ways. The spot accessed through Goofy Ridge has carp that ruin fishing. You could walk down farther to get away from the carp. You could also bank fish through the Buzzville access, but you'll be walking a mile or so before you can...
