Havre De Grace Community Center — Attraction in Havre de Grace

This is a great venue for all sorts of stuff, I am sure. I go there to attend and vend at the monthly All-Maryland Reptile Show, hosted by Larry and Jason Kenton (Diamondback Productions). It is always tidy (spik AND span, haha), temperature inside is well-regulated, restrooms are better than most upscale restaurants facilities, and the parking is generous, with access to all sides of the building for unloading and load-out. Trust me, the Kentons have been doing the All-Maryland Reptile Show for a LONG time, and the Kentons are very professional and command a high-quality venue…that is, if the management of the venue were mediocre, the Kentons would choose somewhere else, but they remain here at this community center for many years. I am sure it would be a great venue for weddings, annual corporate events, bridge parties, and all types of trade shows. For example, they supply a full complement of collapsible tables and folding chairs, pushbrooms (for cleanup), and a very roomy and easily accessible storage room to house all this equipment. The front entrance is actually rather “grand”, like a front lobby. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not marble and brass, but the floors are undamaged, the walls and ceilings fresh-painted and clean, and everything about the place is in good shape… the floor plan is thoughtful and spacious in the right places. On the smaller side, but a nice selection. Lots of the breeders and handlers that I’m good with from many other expos I attended were there so pretty regular. Plenty of space to walk around considering the smaller building however there is very little amount for parking.

Wonderful place to hold an event. Well laid out with two rooms and the restrooms in the center. Finding the location is probably the hardest part of using this place and the parking lot can be small for bigger events.
