Check out this 0.8 mile out and back lighthouse hike in Cecil County! 🥾 Turkey Point Lighthouse is located in Elk Neck State Park. The trail has recently been updated and a large parking lot has been added! The views of the Northern part of the bay from the lighthouse are amazing! There is also a trail you can take to get closer to the water. 🌊 The area around the lighthouse is perfect for a picnic and there is even a gift shop that is occasionally open! 🧺 This is one of my favorite lighthouses in the state and highly recommend you check it out! 📍Turkey Point Lighthouse Trail North East, MD 21901 #md #maryland #lighthouse #elkneck #northeastmd #cecilcounty #turkeypointlighthouse #turkeypoint #marylandcheck

Fun spot about a 20 to 30 min pretty flat hike from the parking lot. Closes at sunset. Porta potty once you are there and a tiny gift shop that has limited hours. 10am to 2pm in December. Google maps will have you turn left down a dead end just before the parking lot as you are in a neighborhood. Don't go left just continue forward down the hill and you go right into the parking lot.

Great little trail that will lead you to the Turkey Point Light house. The light house is free to climb! But, it's only open on Saturdays & Sundays. Climb to the top and you will see great views of the Chesapeake Bay. Note: Parking can be tight, so I recommend arriving early.
