Scenery wise this was one of my favorite parks on the Big Island. It has been restricted due to lead poisoning from when the gigantic bridge was scraped clean over a decade ago. All of the vegetation was overgrown and felt like you were in the middle of "Journey to the Center of the Earth". Had an easy, short walk to see a beautiful, hidden waterfall and a great overlook of the ocean with no one around. Just don't play in the water or stick anything in your mouth and you will be safe...

We had fun, but difficult to stay out of the way of the experienced surfers, also too rocky to stand in the water to help my little guy get up on a wave.
