Dude, I totally hit up this amazing park and it was like, mind-blowing, you know? It's smack dab in this super beautiful spot that's just like, "Whoa." The coolest thing is they've got bathrooms there, so you don't gotta worry about holding it in or anything. Plus, there's so much grassy beach action going on, it's like a total chill spot.
Okay, but wait, it gets even better. They've got this epic retaining wall set up, which not only keeps the gnarly waves from going all Hulk mode on the beach, but it also creates this rad tide pool for kids to splash around in. Like, could it get any better? Oh, it totally can because you can totally do kayaking, swimming, paddleboarding – basically, anything water-related.
If you're all about nature vibes, then you're gonna vibe hard with this natural botanical park. It's like a drive-thru adventure, and they've got these spots with grass where you can totally throw down a blanket and just zen out, you know? And the mountains, dude, they're like these green-covered giants straight out of a movie – it's like Jurassic Park vibes, for real.
So, like, you won't believe this, but it's just a quick 40-minute drive from Oahu, right off the highway. So, if you're down for some next-level appreciation of Mother Nature, this is your spot. They've got plenty of parking, which is awesome, and you get this killer view of the beach on one side and these epic mountains on the other.
Oh, and guess what? Bathrooms are a thing, but, like, some peeps mentioned they're not, you know, sparkly clean. But whatever, at least they're there, right? And the whole island geology thing and those mountains you can check out inland – they're like totally out of this world.
Also, rumor has it that you can totally walk out to this island when the tide is, like, super low. Sounds like some fantasy adventure stuff, right? I didn't get to try it this time, but maybe next visit, who knows?
Bottom line, this park is massive, with tons of parking, and the views – whoa, mind-blowing. You can even go for a swim, just keep an eye on those flags. And yeah, restrooms are there, so it's all good. If you're into nature and epic vibes, seriously, hit up this park. It's like a total...

There are designated camping spots spread along the beach with a picnic table assigned to each (though many had sand built up to the bench which is an easy fix with a small shovel) and it appears trees have been specifically planted at good hammock hanging distance throughout the park. The entire park is flat with many open areas for play or picnics. There is a paved path that runs along the beach itself so you do not have to wander through grass to and from the beach and parking lots. There is a lifeguard posted and the facilities were very clean. While snorkeling to the rock formation you can see sponges, some coral, various small fish, and other various sea life, though i recommend water shoes as the waters are rocky. The water is mostly shallow all the way out to the rock so during low tide you can walk out to it (though still about waist deep and over coral and rocks) for the island itself there is a trail to the top but it is very steep and very short, and is a popular hike so there will be crowds (relative to the small size of...
