Growing up here the locals would know the place as Kings Landing, and it's a nice isolated spot to go to when you want to swim, fish, or relax.

There are many places to swim, there's a bay in the front by the old wall (be careful it's veru easy to get hurt here), and then there's the kids pond, it's an overall safe place to swim for both kids and adults, it's known to be the kids pond due to how shallow it usually is, on higher tides though it can get fairly deep (it's best to keep an eye on the tides), there's the marsh behind the parking stones, it's safe to swim, nothing dangerous in the water, but it's prone to getting slippery and it's very possible to get hurt if not careful, there are amazing swimming spots further in the back although they can be difficult to reach for some people and for most people during high tide. .

I'd definitely recommend checking it out if you get the chance, be careful though, like anywhere else there can be sketchy people lurking around (sadly I've seen em here too), always have your eyes and ears open, and always have an eye on your Keiki (children) no matter...

Where I go to be at peace. MOST IMPORTANTLY: Please be respectful to our beaches. This means take what you brought with you and leave what you found there, THERE! That pretty Lava rock is NOT yours to take. BE RESPECTFUL! DO YOUR HOMEWORK ON the important and sacred places here in Hawaii and you'll be just fine. Take things that DON'T BELONG TO YOU. THEY BELONG TO OUR ISLANDS. LEAVE IT...

It's a simple beach with rich history. Swimming areas are scattered throughout made up of pebbles and larger boulders, pine and other trees create shaded areas , you can also do a little fishing here ,on a good day the breeze is absolutely lovely. Also as a reminder roadway is a bit rocky and you'll fell a bump or two. Our Lil'Ohana ...

It's a nice place for some beautiful pictures. Also several different places to swim. There is an Old breakwall that you can walk, a short fairly easy hike to a separate pool. very nice place. The downfall is there are no restrooms, no electricity or Pavilions. And no Plumbing. Still a very nice place to visit on the big island

Beautiful state park. Lava rocks, black sand, pretty views. Well kept grounds overall. Some signs of lack of care from visitors, with some trash left behind, but it is apparent that it is picked up from locals who care. The park is peaceful, enjoyable, and very easy to access. Extra light walking area, and sights to enjoy.
