Pu'uloa is in Ewa and honestly it's not a bad beach. It's only a ten minute drive from my sister's house, so it's a good option if we just want to chill at the beach, but don't want to make a whole day of it and drive 45 minutes to a more popular beach. You get to avoid all of the beach/city traffic, and all of the tourists (even though I am one myself). There was pretty much no one around on a Tuesday at around 10. Plus you get a view of Diamondhead waaaaaay in the distance. The sand is okay. It's not Kailua/Lanikai soft but definitely a lot cleaner than Waikiki. The water is not really good for swimming since there is a lot of coral out in front. Even with the coral, the waves are pretty rough. Not my first option for a beach on O'ahu but if you live nearby, this requires minimal effort. There's also bathroom facilities, basketball courts, and plenty of parking.

Road leading there dead ends into an off limits military site, the Pu'uloa Range Training Facility. Parking is adjacent to a nice spacious grassy area which is Pu'uloa Beach Park. There is ample parking, nice clean sand, in a quiet remote location that was not crowded. We saw local families with children and military stationed personnel stationed out there. Walking into ocean, the sand to the water is steep. In the water the depth seems to deepens quickly. More people were on the sand and grass than in the water. There were bathrooms and cold showers for swimmers. The park is closed 10pm to 8am. Across the water from this beach you can see Diamond Head crater and the sky line from the hotels in Waikiki to Honolulu.

Like coming here because it's close to my home, has showers and bathrooms, and overall it's a nice place. There are some homeless people that will congregate near the pavilion but honestly that seems to be a trend at most beaches lately. They dont bother anyone but some folks are sensitive so it so heads up. The waves here are usually choppy but my 6 and 8 year olds really enjoy it. I do t get in beyond knee deep because I dont want to get battered around. Most days we'll enjoy a rainbow over Honolulu and watching the sunset over the houses to the west. This is a fairly popular beach but it seems like the parking is adequate

A pretty decent beach park popular with locals and visitors alike. Plenty of room to find your spot on the beach and there are shower/bathroom areas here as well. This beach isn't the greatest for swimming/wading because the sand in the water is very "corally" and there are rocks relatively shallow. This place however is great for hanging out and catching sun and perhaps body boarding and surfing. Great view of Honolulu across the water to be had here too!

Small beach but very nice. Tiny parking lot but if you go at the good hours then no need to worry. Ideal if you live close to the area but nothing worth traveling the island to get to. It has a playground for the kids, a place to play volleyball in the grass, and several rest areas with shade. The sand is nice but coarse. Nothing too bad. Overall, it's a good place to come on a weekend to relax and enjoy the sun.

Restroom is a hit and a miss but its okay semi clean .... 3 different showers and a changing area is helpful. Love the kid's playground so if your kid is like mine they get tired of the sand and water he plays at the playground. There is a basketball court and volley ball net which is awesome. A few table and benches 🤙Place is never too crowded on a weekday💞 hardly any shade so be prepared for lots of sun
