Awesome!!! I've heard about submarines in a lake in Idaho for years, trivigames, Jeopardy etc. They still have a presence at the lake as a Acoustics Lab, whatever that means😉. I put in the pics a shot of the Naval detachment entrance sign. It was a quick visit and I didn't get enough, I'll have to come back again. Nice facility, very visit-able

Nice informative self-guided Museum. Entrance is through State Park fee checkin gate. No additional fee to enter the Briggs Museum. Has models, artifacts and video theater telling about construction and use of the Naval Base during the World War II era. Fun stop for the military buff.

If you vist Farragut State Park you have to go to the museum. Fantastic experience and a real gem for this state park. They have worked hard to capture the human history of the Naval Training Base and the local community that supported it. Thanks for the education and the experience.

I sort of bumped into this place while trying to figure out what to do while my kids were spending the day at nearby Silverwood Amusement Park. I loved it! The exhibits are well presented and numerous. The bronze sculpture and garden at the entrance is a must-see. Make time to view the video toward the end of your museum visit. It would be easy to spend a couple of hours here if this type of museum is of...

Business hours are Thursday -Sunday. It would have been nice to know that before driving all that way. Only to turn around listen to my sad nephews bellow all the way back.Update your...
