You know how a system works well and then new management comes in and 'fixes' it, and now it's terrible.....ladies and gentlemen, I give you Farragut visitor center.
Whoever is behind the idiocy of making people wait in a long line till 2pm simply to check in, should be held accountable.
We already booked online. Filled out all the forms and questions about our RV. But could we just come in and get our pass? no. We had to wait behind a sign with a long line of people until 2:00 pm. Everyone was shaking their heads, laughing and complaining. . Our wait was 30 minutes. Others were a lot longer. The staff (not their fault btw) are now positioned behind a long desk with glass in front. You know, like a bank only slower. When we eventually got there, the guy asked us all the questions we had already filled out online. He would stop and slowly type the exact same info in. "What is your license plate? (you need a photo, btw), "How long is your vehicle?', 'What color is your vehicle?'

I was asking some questions, and as soon as I said I wasn't getting a camping pass, I was met with "can you get out of the line then?" There wasn't even a line where I was standing. To top it off, there's not even a Veteran's discount on shop purchases. Seems they forgot why their park even exists. They should probably go read the plaque on the anchor again. Never...

Find out a campsite for out-of-state is almost $80 for a night. Dry camping is $64. Used to be 10. They have made it obvious they do not want out of state people in their campground. The ladies At the Visitors Center Were not friendly , This place is really changed over the last couple years. But with that said Farraguet itself is an amazing place and it’s definitely one to be enjoyed and explored. We will no longer camp here at these outrageous ridiculous prices but we do enjoy...
