Bortle 2 zone dark sky. This Lighthouse/park has a few little historical things around that you can get pictures of. Has plaques with information about various sailing/shipping that have taken place on Lake Huron. There are quite a few benches around to just sit and enjoy the scenery. There is a covered pavilion, I believe there's even a grill there. I'd still eat out by the water if that's what I was doing there. Plenty of beach to enjoy, sandy to the north of the point, and rocky to the south. I enjoy this place mostly after dark once the stars come out. Bortle 2 night sky, it doesn't get much...

I started going to Harrisville State Park 65 years ago and have a lot of great feelings about the park it's too bad that the park has also fallen under some hardship because the town itself is not supporting it with a place to go food shopping washer clothes they removed all this stuff including the post office I wish that Gretchen Whitmire would have read my comments that I sent to her on this but so far nothing and that's kind of disappointing I am a big supporter of hers however that is wavering now because she is like all other politicians does not really care about anybody...

Definitely recommend seeing this attraction if you happen to be in the area. Actual period lighthouse, with many interesting facts, photos, and relics from the early days of lake activities from days gone by. The tower is pay to ascend only, and a gift shop is available for memorabilia. Park is free to attend, during hours of operation.

A wonderful lighthouse in a beautiful setting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stop here and ended up spending way more time than we had planned. The historical society volunteers were friendly and engaging. This whole historical site is worth investing some time in with your family.
