Nalle Winery — Attraction in Healdsburg

These are some of the most down-to-earth and passionate people about their wines in all of Sonoma County. Their tasting room is in an above ground cave that they built and covered with rosemary. This multi-generational operation makes complex and restrained wines, with a specific emphasis on Zinfandel. The wines are built for aging but can be enjoyed now. They are super friendly to visit and make you feel at home. Cheers!

We were driving down Dry Creek and saw the cave building and knew we had to stop. Fortunately they had availability for a walk in and we had a lovely time sitting outside and tasting their wines. Their traditional, more restrained take on Zinfandel was the true standout (aside from their purpose built cave covered in lavender).

Nalle is a true gem and a must visit for any serious wine lover. Their zins are the standard by which I judge all other zins. Even though great wine is easily found in Sonoma co, we make this our first stop every time we visit the area. Expect delicious pours, great down to earth hospitality and thoughtful conversation.
